Dads accredit 72 CSOs in LSB
THE 20th City Council during its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Jocelyn B. Rodriguez adopted separate resolutions accrediting/re-accrediting 72 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) as members of the Local Special Bodies (LSB).
This is to ensure their active and participatory engagement in local governance pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2022-083 and Article 64, Rule XIII of the Rules and Regulations Implementing the 1991 Local Government Code.
Accredited CSOs include the Philippine Institute of Public Accountants, Macajalar Wharf Porter’s Association-Federation of Free Workers Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Indahag Ville Homeowners Association, Inc., Paradise Village Carp-Beneficiaries & Farmers-Irrigators Association, Inc., Cagayan Federation of People’s Organization, Inc., Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners-Northern Mindanao Chapter, Tinipigan for Ecological Protection Association, Inc., Pagatpat Cagayan de Oro Farmers Association, Inc. Bonbon Active Fisherfolks Association, Indahag Single Motor Operators and Drivers Association, among others.
The legislations were reviewed and endorsed by the committees on planning, research and innovation and people’s organization accreditation and on laws and rules both chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya.
