Creation of City Education Department pushed

THE City Council Committee on Education, chaired by Councilor Suzette Magtajas-Daba, in its meeting last week, referred to the City Legal Office (CLO) and Human Resource and Management Department (HRMD) for comments and appropriate actions the proposed ordinance creating and establishing the office of the City Education Development Officer (CEDO) of Cagayan de Oro.

This, after Councilor Malou Gaane manifested that the proposed ordinance gets proper recommendation from the HRMD to address the Qualification Standard (QS) of the personnel, since plantilla positions will be created.

“Moagi man gud sa Civil Service Commission, ug ang HRMD lang ang makahatag og pila ka personahe ang gikinahanglan alang sa usa ka departamento aron usab maseguro ang budget sa kada tuig”, Coun. Gaane said.

The committee recommended approval of the proposed ordinance, pending the recommendations and appropriate actions from the mentioned offices.
