Coastal weather monitoring station to be established soon

THE coastal weather monitoring station will soon be established in Barangay Bonbon.

This, after the 20th City Council, during its regular session on Monday, presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, enacted Ordinance No. 14749-2024 confirming and ratifying the usufruct agreement entered into by and between the city government and the land owner, covering the 10-year use of the latter’s 6,554 square meters property as site of the weather station.

The ordinance was sponsored by the Committees on Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation and Disaster Risk Reduction and on Laws and Rules chaired by Councilors Malvern Esparcia and Edgar S. Cabanlas, respectively.
