City to sign 648 Deeds of Absolute Sale with beneficiaries of socialized housing program
IN line with the intention to provide decent, affordable and secure housing and shelter to the city’s constituents, the 19th City Council headed by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy during its regular session on Monday, November 29, enacted an ordinance
authorizing Mayor Oscar S. Moreno to enter into and sign 648 Deeds of Absolute with beneficiaries of the Indahag Phase 2 Relocation Site, Barangay Indahag, as Sendong victims and other qualified beneficiaries, pursuant to the socialized housing program of the city.
In his letter to the legislative body, Mayor Moreno said this is another poverty alleviation program undertaken by the city which provides core shelter facilities to victims of typhoon Sendong and other qualified beneficiaries.
He added that the said program will ensure that the grantees of the relocation units will enjoy security of tenure and provide them with a dignified way of life.
The ordinance was sponsored by the committees on subdivision and landed estate and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Edgar S. Cabanlas and Ian Mark Q. Nacaya, respectively.
