City to pay government retirees

CITY hall employees who recently retired from government service may now get paid by the city government.

This, as the 20th City Council during its regular session presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, enacted separate ordinances appropriating respective amounts for the payments of terminal leave pay of employees previously assigned in the City Health Insurance Office and City Equipment Depot, and J.R. Borja General Hospital (JRBGH).

The legislators likewise passed an ordinance granting salary grade increase and differential benefits to employees of the City College of Cagayan de Oro.

The legislations were reviewed and endorsed by the committees on finance, budget and appropriations and on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Yan Lam Lim and Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas, respectively. (JBDacer/SP)
