City to ink pact with DTI-10 for MADE in CDO Project
THE implementation of the Makers/Manufacturers, Artist/Artisans, Designers, Exposition (MADE) in CDO project will soon take place.

This, as the 20th City Council, during its regular session presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, enacted an ordinance authorizing Mayor Rolando A. Uy to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI-10), covering the collaboration of the parties for the purpose.
The project aims to showcase the breadth and depth of the creative industry in the city as a rapidly expanding driver of the local and national economy.
In his letter to the legislative body, Mayor Uy said the project is in line with both Regional Leadership and Economic Recovery components of the city’s RISE agenda of which technology and innovation as well as support and development are given particular focus and emphasis. He said that the collaboration involves the institutional cooperation between the parties for the provision of funding support by DTI.
Under the MOA, the DTI shall authorize the release and transfer of funds to the city with the amount of ₱2 million, assist and actively monitor the promotion, implementation, and development of the project, and monitor the proper utilization of the project fund support that was released to the city as the implementing agency.
For its part, the city shall undertake, as deemed necessary, procurement of goods and services, and hiring or onboarding of third parties, and other miscellaneous expenses, to achieve the objective of the project, subject to applicable laws and government procurement, budgeting, accounting, and auditing rules and regulations, and use “Lunsod Lunsad” as part of the official event name, among others.
