City to ink MOA with Moresco for electric service connection in San Simon
THE installation of electric service connection at Zone 3, San Simon is in the offing.
The 20th City Council during its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Jocelyn B. Rodriguez enacted an ordinance authorizing Mayor Rolando Uy to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement with the Misamis Oriental Rural Electric Service Cooperative (Moresco-1) for the purpose.
Under the MOA, MORESCO shall construct the extension line of a single-phase line to provide for the power needs of consumers in the area.
Beneficiaries shall be required to comply with all the conditions for the electric service connection including the payment of a bill deposit, installation fee, security, and other incidental expenses.
Moresco-I agrees to commence the construction of lines upon signing of the contract and payment of required fees. Energization shall be facilitated upon the completion of the line construction and submission of the required documents, as provided in the MOA.
The ordinance was endorsed by the committees on public utilities, energy, roads and traffic management chaired by Councilor Romeo V. Calizo and on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya.
