City to establish new agri center for local farmers in Dansolihon
THE city government of Cagayan de Oro will soon establish its agricultural center in Barangay Dansolihon.
Through an ordinance, the 20th City Council, during its regular session presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, declared the city-owned lot with an area of 53,035 square meters as site for the proposed project.
The proposed agricultural center includes establishment of laboratories, dormitory, and other facilities that will accommodate training and seminars for local farmers from different barangays.
During the meeting of the Committee on Subdivision, Engr. Bernie Daba of the City Agriculture Office said the center will serve as a hub for farmers to share knowledge and access tools to connect directly with consumers.
The ordinance was reviewed and endorsed by the Committees on Subdivision and Landed Estate and on Laws and Rules both chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
