City thanks firm for lending buses during initial fight vs COVID-19

THROUGH a resolution, the 19th City Council headed by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy expressed the city’s sincere appreciation and profound gratitude to Romeo G. Jalosjos, chairman of Emeritus of Romgarjal Group of Companies, for the support and generosity extended to the city government.

The company lent two Dakak Fantasyland buses since March 2021 to transport medical frontliners.

In his letter to the legislative body, City Mayor Oscar Moreno said the group was among the first to offer assistance to the city during the fight against COVID.

A year and almost six months of service rendered by the company to the city’s healthcare workers. However, the buses and its drivers will now be returning home to Dapitan City, said Mayor Moreno.

According to Nick Jabagat of the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), the initiative of the company greatly helped the city’s transportation needs for its operational activities.

The resolution was sponsored by the committee on laws and rules with Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas and Maria Lourdes S. Gaane, members of the committee.
