City council oks Brgy Iponan SK budget
DURING its 92nd regular session, the 20th City Council, presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, approved a resolution returning as operative the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) budget of Barangay Iponan, this city.
The SK budget of ₱3,127,501.00 is sourced from the 10% of the barangay’s general fund, in accordance with RA 10742 or the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015.
The funds are allocated for the personal services of SK members, as well as for maintenance and other operating expenses, including office supplies, training, and materials.
Additionally, the SK has earmarked ₱1,043,076.00 for youth development and empowerment programs. The funds are distributed as follows: ₱170,000.00 for education, ₱55,000.00 for health, ₱20,000.00 for peacebuilding and security, ₱58,076.00 for social inclusion and equity, ₱550,000.00 for active citizenship, ₱90,000.00 for the environment, and ₱100,000.00 for agriculture.
The said resolution was reviewed and endorsed by the Committees on Sports and Youth Development, chaired by Councilor Kenneth John D. Sacala, and on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
