City Council confirms PESO Manager appointment

The 20th City Council, during its regular session on Monday, presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, confirmed the appointment of Ms. Kathleen Kate D. Sorilla as Department Head of the Public Employment Services Office (PESO).

Ms. Sorilla’s appointment as PESO Manager by City Mayor Rolando A. Uy highlights the city government’s commitment to enhancing employment services and providing greater opportunities for the local workforce.

She is expected to contribute significantly to the city’s employment initiatives, aligning with the administration’s goal of fostering sustainable development and progress for Cagayan de Oro.

Meanwhile, the  City Council unanimously deferred for one week the confirmation of the appointment of Dr. Jestoni P. Babia as President of the City College, pending clarification from concerned offices about the salary grade of the said position.
