City Council commends Cathryn Limketkai for 2025 Asian Winter Games participation
The 20th City Council, led by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, unanimously passed a resolution congratulating Ms. Cathryn Limketkai for representing the Philippines in the Women’s Figure Skating at the 2025 Asian Winter Games, set for February 7-14 in Harbin, China.

“We wish Cathryn good luck and congratulate her for bringing pride to our country," Vice Mayor Bebot said.

Cathryn, the granddaughter of Albino and Francesca Limketkai of the Limketkai Mall in Cagayan de Oro City, is one of 20 athletes representing the Philippines. An accomplished skater, she was part of the U.S. National Development Team in 2020 and earned a silver medal at last year’s Reykjavik International Games in Iceland.
The Council commended Limketkai’s achievements as a source of inspiration and pride for the city and the nation.
