City council backs Brgy 23 SK budget

THE 20th City Council in its Monday session has approved the 2024 annual budget of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay 23 amounting to ₱434,642.00.

Of the amount, ₱108,657.00 has been set aside for the honorarium of SK members, ₱150,196.00 for maintenance and other operating expenses, training, travel, and office supplies, among others.

The SK also earmarked ₱175,789.00 for youth development and empowerment programs focusing on education, health, environmental initiatives, active citizenship, peacebuilding and security, governance, and social inclusion and equity.

The said resolution was reviewed and endorsed by the Committee on Sports and Youth Development, chaired by Councilor Kenneth John D. Sacala, and Committee on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
