City Council accredits Rabbit Colony Association for LSB membership
THE 20th City Council, during its regular session on Monday, passed a resolution accrediting the Rabbit Colony Association for membership in Local Special Bodies.
This accreditation aligns with DILG Circular No. 2022-083 and Article 64, Rule XIII of the Rules and Regulations Implementing the 1991 Local Government Code, thus allowing the association to secure funding for its projects from the City or other sources, as stipulated in the COA circular.
Established in January 2022 and based in Capisnon, Kauswagan, the Rabbit Colony Association is already accredited with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). The group focuses on gathering rabbit farmers to meet the growing demand for rabbit meat in the city and nearby areas.
The resolution was sponsored by the City Council Committees on Planning, Research and Innovation, and People’s Organization Accreditation, chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya, and the Committee on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
