CCTV, PA system in highways, roads pushed
“THERE is a need now that we have this CCTV system in our highways and roads.”
This was stressed by Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya in his reaction to the proposal of Councilor Joyleen Mercedes L. Balaba to request the barangays to set up public address system as part of the information drive against COVID-19.
Councilor Nacaya said Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) will help in the city’s traffic management system and the public during the pandemic.
“We hope that these committees can recommend whatever necessary funding so that we can have all the support needed for the barangays,” he added.
It may be recalled that Councilor Nacaya authored a resolution urging media influencers including social media, civil society organizations, religious leaders, academe and barangay officials to steadfastly campaign and promote strict adherence to non-pharmaceutical interventions to prevent COVID-19 infection especially to vaccine-hesitant individuals.
