Cabanlas welcomes lot donation for road
“MO-APPRECIATE gyud mi anang donation sa dalan, but we have to put emphasis that we need roads para mag-expand kita.”
This was stressed by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas, chair of the City Council Committee on Subdivision and Landed Estate, following the intention of LandReal Corporation, property owner, to donate to the city government portion of its land in Palalan, Barangay Lumbia for public use.
The lot owner is offering to donate a 12-meter wide road lot that will connect Masterson Avenue to Lumbia diversion road.
During the meeting, Cabanlas, however, cited the need to verify the lot ownership by the City Legal Office and delineation of the technical description by the City Engineer’s Office.
“We have to follow some kind of procedure… buhatan gyud na og deed of donation sa city government. Importante ang recommendation sa technical working group niini”, he said.
The Gavel learned that the city’s technical team has yet to submit its recommendation regarding ownership issues of the property.
Councilor Aga Suan and Councilor Roger Abaday were also present during meeting.
