Cabanlas leads ocular inspection of lots in Carmen, Kauswagan
COUNCILOR Edgar S. Cabanlas, chair of the City Council committee on subdivision and landed estate, with Councilor Maria Lourdes S. Gaane, vice-chair, and Councilor Jose Pepe S. Abbu, Jr., member of the committee, conducted an ocular inspection in Barangays Carmen and Kauswagan.
The committee checked the lot area of the Carmen Hillside Homeowners Association, Inc. in relation to the application for Onsite Subdivision approval.
The applied lot covers an area of 11,339 square meters with 80 lots occupied by 53 active association members.
It was learned that the property owner donated the land to the occupants so that they can apply for land titles.
Councilor Cabanlas said the committee recommended the approval of the application for onsite subdivision and favorably endorsed this to the committee on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya for appropriate action.
LAND DEVELOPMENT
The committee likewise inspected a lot in Kauswagan that is intended to be developed by the Crown Stationers Corporation. The lot is traversed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Flood Risk Management Project for Cagayan de Oro (FRIMP-CDO).
The committee agreed to discuss the matter again during its next meeting and invited representatives of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
Representatives of the City Engineer’s Office, City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), and City Housing and Urban Development Department (CHUDD) joined the inspection.
