Cabanlas cmte backs rezone, reclass requests of various lot owners
The 116 rezone and 30 reclassification requests of lot owners endorsed to the Local Zoning Review Committee (LZRC) were favorably referred by the City Council Committee on Subdivision and Landed Estate to the Committee on Laws and Rules chaired by Councilor Cabanlas, for appropriate action.
According to Ms. Chedilyn Aissa P. Dulguime, officer-in-charge of the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD-10) prompted the CPDO that any changes on the city’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) is allowed ones within every five-year planning period.
The DHSUD also recommended that the said requests, should these be endorsed by the City Council, can take effect on the updated CLUP.
For his part, Councilor Cabanlas expressed optimism about the process, citing that the committee remains committed in ensuring that all rezone and reclassification requests are thoroughly reviewed and that any changes made will benefit the community while adhering to the city’s development plans.
The CPDO reassured the public of its commitment to transparent and efficient service, stressing that all processes will comply with government rules and regulations.
Councilors Roger G. Abaday, Joey S. Abbu and Aga Suan were also present during the meeting.
