Cabanlas, Abbu inspect property in Baikingon
Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas, chair of the City Council committee on subdivision and landed estate, with Councilor Jose Pepe S. Abbu, Jr., member of the committee, led the ocular inspection of a property in Barangay Baikingon last Thursday.
This is in response to the request of T.S. Baikingon Corporation for the land use reclassification of the company’s property from agricultural to residential.
During the inspection, it was observed that the 45,418-sq.m. property is at mountainous terrain and surrounded with residential developments such as Kisanlu Subdivision, and Youngsville Subdivision, among others.
It was learned that a national road project will traverse the area that will connect to the municipalities of Misamis Oriental bypassing the usual route of Butuan-CDO-Iligan road.
The inspection team found that the waterway will flow into the Bungkalalan river.
As this developed, Councilor Cabanlas asked the City Planning and Development Office to comment on the matter.
Joining the inspection were representatives of the City Engineer’s Office, CPDO, City Legal Office, City Agriculture Office, the developer and barangay officials of Baikingon.
