Budget for Brgy Bayanga SK ok’d

THE Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Bayanga has been given the green light to implement its 2024 programs and initiatives following the 20th City Council’s approval of a resolution that declares operative its budget of ₱622,275.00.

This will finance a variety of youth-focused programs, projects, and activities in the barangay, in line with the objectives of the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015 (Republic Act 10742).

The law mandates that 10% of a barangay’s annual general fund be allocated to SK-led initiatives aimed at fostering youth empowerment, leadership development, and active community involvement.

The resolution underwent a comprehensive review by the Committee on Sports and Youth Development, chaired by Councilor Kenneth John D. Sacala, and the Committee on Laws and Rules, chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
