Budget for Brgy Balulang SK ok’d
DURING its recent regular session, the 20th City Council, presided over by Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, approved a resolution returning as operative 2025 Annual Budget of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Balulang, with an income of ₱11,030,954.00.
This budget is funded by the unexpended 10% share from the 2022 general fund of the barangay, as well as the 10% SK share from the 2025 general fund, in accordance with Republic Act 10742, also known as the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015.

A significant portion of the budget, amounting to ₱7,100,000.00, has been allocated to various programs that focus on youth development, with an emphasis on health, education, economic empowerment, social inclusion, equity, peacebuilding, security, governance, active citizenship, agriculture, and the environment.
Additionally, ₱1,419,572.00 has been earmarked for the honorarium of SK officials, while ₱761,382.00 will cover maintenance and other operating expenses (MOOE), which include payments for fidelity bonds, membership dues, contributions to the SK Federation, and the procurement of supplies and materials.
The budget also includes provisions for capital outlay, with ₱1,750,000.00 allocated for the rehabilitation of the SK Multipurpose Hall, the purchase of three computer sets, and the acquisition of two laptops.
The legislation was reviewed and endorsed by the committee on sports and youth development, chaired by Councilor Kenneth John D. Sacala, and the committee on laws and rules, chaired by Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas.
