BPO expected to usher recovery -Goking

Councilor George S. Goking, chair of the City Council committee on trade and commerce, said that the Business Process Outsources (BPO) industry is expected to usher recovery of the property market in the city following the regional development body identifying it as one of the city’s investment priorities.

During the consultation on the formulation of the Regional Development Plan under trade and services, several areas in the city have been identified as ideal location for the BPO industry.

Councilor Goking said that there is a big demand for office space from the BPO sector as the country’s economy has started to open. With this, the city’s economy is expected to expand by 8-percent in revenues, said Goking.
