Ad hoc body to tackle recommendations, proposed amendments of approved IRP
FOUR members of the majority bloc and three members of the minority bloc will sit down to discuss recommendations and possible amendments to the approved Internal Rules of Procedures (IRP) of the 20th City Council.
This, after the legislative body during its second regular session on Monday, July 11, presided over by Vice Mayor Jocelyn Rodriguez approved a resolution creating an ad hoc committee for the purpose.
The creation of the Ad Hoc Committee was an offshoot of the compromise agreement between members of the majority and minority blocs in order to hasten approval of the IRP.
Presiding Officer Protempore Councilor Edgar Cabanlas said the majority has already selected its representatives to the body. The minority will also be selecting its representatives to the said committee.
The IRP of the 20th City Council was approved during its inaugural session.
