Achas graces 29th PNP Ethics Day celebration

“It is our duty to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct, not only as a matter of professional responsibility but also as a moral imperative”.

This was the message of Councilor Christian Rustico M. Achas in his inspirational speech during the 29th Philippine National Police (PNP) Ethics Day celebration last Monday, held at Camp General Nicolas Capistrano in Barangay Gusa.

With the theme: “Serbisyong may malasakit, Kaayusan at Kapayapaan tungo sa Kaunlaran, Handog ng Pambansang Pulisya Kabalikat ang Simbahan at Pamayanan”, Councilor Achas said the community must also take part to ensure that the objective for a peaceful community where there is lesser to no crime is achieved.

“We must aim for genuine transformation for ourselves and for the organization. To realize this, you may start by going back to its core mandate and functionality and find inspiration from our vision, philosophy and core values,” he said.

Despite all the challenges, Councilor Achas said public officials must be accountable to the people, serve them with integrity, as the constitution states that “Public office is a public trust”. He said the trust and confidence of the people are the valuable assets which are earned through hard work, dedication, and professionalism.

“May this celebration be our reminder to adhere to a strong set of moral principles and strive to improve our individual work ethics…treat our people with dignity regardless of background…,” Councilor Achas stressed.

“Let us all strive for individual transformations and excellent service for the people, na may Malasakit, Kaayusan at Kapayapaan to achieve our common goal of a better and peaceful community,” Achas concluded.
