Accreditation of women’s assn in LSB up for discussion

THE City Council committee on planning, innovation and development chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Q. Nacaya is set to discuss the application of the Barangay Macabalan Womens Development Association (BMWDA) for accreditation to and selection of their representative to the Local Special Bodies (LSB).

The BMWDA is a women’s association consisting of six puroks under the local chapter with 37 members.

It was organized in 2019 based on understanding of women’s rights and capacity to help the barangay’s programs and activities such as feeding programs, blood-letting, clean up drive and Zumba fitness, to name a few, The Gavel learned. (SP/JAOclarit)
