Abbu, Emano elected members of subd, urban poor cmtes

THROUGH separate resolutions, the 20th City Council during the 9th regular session presided over by Vice Mayor Jocelyn B. Rodriguez elected Councilor Jose Pepe S. Abbu, Jr. and Councilor Yevonna Yacine B. Emano, as additional (4th) members of the committees on subdivision and landed estate and on urban and rural poor and housing development, respectively.

For this purpose, the legislative body amended Resolution No. 142000, covering the composition of the committees.

As amended, Resolution No. 14195-2022, on the Internal Rules of Procedure of the 20th City Council, authorizes the chairmen of the standing committees to increase their members, subject to confirmation by the legislative body.

Councilor Edgar S. Cabanlas, chair of the City Council committees on subdivision and landed estate and on urban and rural poor and housing development, sponsored the resolution naming Councilor Abbu as a member of the committee on subdivision and Councilor Emano, as a member of the committee on urban poor.

“With open heart, I move to approve the said resolution,” stressed Councilor Cabanlas.
