₱2M aid to BSP-CDO okayed

THE city government of Cagayan de Oro will subsidize ₱2 million to the Boy Scout of the Philippines - City of Cagayan de Oro Council (BSP-CDO) to support its activities and operations from January to December 2024.

This, after the 20th City Council, during its regular session presided over by City Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez, enacted an ordinance authorizing City Mayor Rolando A. Uy to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the BSP-CDO for the purpose.

Under the MOA, the BSP-CDO shall submit to the city the necessary accomplishment report detailing undertakings of the BSP, and be responsible for the liquidation of funds upon the completion of activities.

The legislation was sponsored by the Committees on Finance, Budget and Appropriation and Laws and Rules respectively chaired by Councilors Yan Lam Lim and Edgar S. Cabanlas.
