Acenas leads inspection of properties in San Simon, Lumbia

COUNCILOR Dometilo C. Acenas Jr., chair of the City Council committee on subdivision and landed estate, led the ocular inspection at portions of the lot in Barangays San Simon and Lumbia last Friday.

This is in response to the request for the appropriation of funds to cover full payment of just compensation to the lot owners whose properties are affected by the City’s Resettlement Site/Land Banking projects in two barangays.

The Power learned that the total lot area in Barangay San Simon contains 70,191 square meters more or less, while the lot in Lumbia covers an area of 11,037 square meters.

The purchases of the properties are part of the implementation of the City Shelter Plan-Capital outlay-Acquisition of 60-hectare land project of the city.

Among those who joined the inspection were representatives from the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), City Engineering Office, City Housing Urban and Development Department (CHUDD) and City Assessor’s Office.

Councilor Acenas endorsed to the committee on finance, budget and appropriation chaired by Councilor Edna M. Dahino the request for appropriation of fund to cover payment of the property in San Simon.

On the other hand, the committee will further study the request for appropriation of funds for the payment of the property in Barangay Lumbia. (SP/JBD)
