Ocon acts on electricity needs of Lumbia folk

THE City Council committee on urban and rural poor and housing development chaired by Councilor Zaldy Ocon requested the management of CEPALCO to install electricity at Sitio Mabuhay for the benefit of its residents including the Mabuhay Lumbia Residence Association.

This, after the residents requested for the committee’s assistance, citing that they have been without electricity for the past years.

During the meeting, a representative of the association said based on the pronouncement of Engineer Bacarro of the City Engineers Office, CEPALCO already acknowledged the subdivision plan submitted by the association, as required.

However, their request was reportedly not acted upon by CEPALCO.

The representative said they have not complied with the road-right-of-way and the needed form from the Office of the Building Official (OBO).

Stressing that the matter needs immediate action, Councilor Ocon instructed the association to coordinate with OBO, and for OBO to immediately submit its approval, including the necessary documents to CEPLACO so that the company can install power to Sitio Mabuhay without delay. (SP/EF)
