Dads requests court to hold demolition in Tablon

THE 18th City Council during its regular session presided over by Vice Mayor Rainier Joaquin V. Uy adopted resolution requesting Presiding Judge Cesar A. Merlas of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC)-Branch 1, to hold in abeyance the implementation of the Writ of Demolition of the decision issued by the court in Barangay Tablon.

This is to enable the city government to conduct socio-economic survey of the affected residents at Purok 10, Baloy, Barangay Tablon and to identify a suitable relocation area for the residents.

It may be recalled that the affected residents appealed to the City Council committee on urban and rural poor chaired by Councilor Zaldy Ocon for assistance that they may be given more time to relocate.

The resolution was sponsored by the committee on laws and rules chaired by Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya and Councilor Ocon as vice-chair. (SP/JBD)
