Proper maintenance of streetlights sought
COUNCILOR Leon Gan, Jr., chair of the committee on senior citizens, said there are street lights in the city that are not turned off even during daytime.
This observation was reported by the councilor during the previous regular session of the 18th council presided by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy.
According to Gan, this could cause the light to easily lose its power because it is always turned on.
He explained that the city government could save in maintenance expenses if this will be monitored and turned off at a scheduled time.
The councilor requested the committee on public works to continue the Hapsay Cable drive in the city and to include the monitoring of street lights.
Vice Mayor Uy commended Councilor Gan for his report and forwarded this to the committee on public works for appropriate action. (EF)
