Moreno to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM) and the Department of Agriculture-Regional Office X (DA-RFO-10) for the purpose.

The DA is implementing the project to enhance corn productivity by adopting sustainable adaptive technologies in sloping areas.
Under the MOA, the BSWM, DA-RFU and the city shall closely coordinate with each other to ensure that the establishment of SCoPSA model farms and other related activities are in accordance with the work and financial plan of the project.

The Power learned that the technology will help lessen soil degradation which is evident on sloping areas usually occupied for corn production.
The ordinance was endorsed by the committees on agriculture and fisheries and on laws and rules chaired by Councilors Annie Dabaand Ian Mark Nacaya, respectively.
