Goking supports emerging eco-friendly energy tech

COUNCILOR George S. Goking yesterday said he is supporting the use of alternative fuel, electric vehicles, and other emerging and advance energy technologies in the city.

Representing Mayor Oscar Moreno, the councilor welcomed guests and participants of the Department of Energy (DOE) forum on Alternative Fuels Program and Emerging Technologies held at the Mallberry Suites in Lapasan.

He stressed that these new energy technologies will be a great help to the people and to the environment.

The use of alternative fuel will also improve the country’s energy security and help in the management of the utilization of its energy resources, the councilor added.

Councilor Goking thanked the DOE and all those who took part in the successful forum, as he expressed hopes that all these programs will be implemented in the city.

The forum was graced by DOE experts who spoke on the Alternative Fuels Program, Electric Vehicles and Tips on Smart Energy Use.
