Ocon cmte to tackle concerns on Pagalungan landfill project

THE City Council committee on environment and natural resources chaired by Councilor Zaldy Ocon will hold a meeting on February 21, 2018, Wednesday, 9:30 AM at the City Council session hall.

The committee will discuss the request of some residents of Barangay Pagalungan for assistance to facilitate the release of the payment of disturbance fee arising from the establishment of the Cagayan de Oro sanitary landfill and the proposal to repeal the ordinance declaring Barangay Pagalungan as the site of the new sanitary landfill.

The committee will also tackle the proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between and among the city government, Cagayan de Oro Water District, Barangay Council of Dansolihon, and Butay-Eba-Macopa Higaonon Farmers Association (BUEMAHIFA) for the bamboo propagation project in Barangay Dansolihon.

The proponents are requesting an ordinance authorizing the city mayor to sign the MOU. (EF)
