Acenas to inspect subd project in Lumbia

AN ocular inspection of a subdivision project in Barangay Lumbia will be conducted by the City Council committee on subdivision and landed estate chaired by Councilor Dometilo Acenas, Jr.

The inspection takes place on February 7, 2018 at 9:00 in the morning at the Sunrise Bliss Subdivision in Barangay Lumbia, with representatives of the City Housing Board, City Planning and Development Office, City Engineering Office and developer.

This was agreed during the committee meeting, Wednesday in response to the application for Alteration of Plan of Sunrise Bliss Subdivision.

The alteration plan involves the alignment of the drainage system and its structure from the existing reinforced concrete pipe culvert to the reinforced line drainage with cover leading to the outfall.

The Power learned that the drainage system traverses a private lot affecting an area of 268 square meters.

During the meeting, Engr. Isidro Obligado of the Cagayan de Oro City Housing Board said the alteration plan changes the alignment of the drainage system.

He said the developer has difficulty in maintaining the original drainage plan. That is why the developer opted for a covered open canal, which also serves as pathway, he explained.

The Power learned that the drainage plan is within the subdivision. The flow of the drainage system leads to the Calaanan Creek.

Engr. Obligado recommended an actual inspection of the area.

The City Housing Board agreed to conduct an inspection in relation to the subdivision’s Development Permit and Alteration Plan application to determine the construction of the detention pond as required by the city government. (JBD)
