Councilor Christian Rustico M. Achas was graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Human Resource Management at Capitol University. He became a public servant at the age of 22 years old. Being a public servant was not in his direction, instead he wanted to become a priest. But, the way to that ambition overturned and became a humble public servant. Being a son of a police officer and a public school teacher it came out to his mind that he would have to become a good pubic servant. With that he influence his parents that he would run to be a public servant. He won the seat for a barangay kagawad of barangay Puerto and eventually he became Punong barangay of barangay Puerto under the umbrella of Padayon Pilipino.

As the years goes by serving as a punong barangay he witness all issues relating to people that needs attention to laws. That triggered him to enroll in college of law at Liceo de Cagayan. During his first semester in law school it is in the middle of COVID-19 pandemic and the school implemented online class via zoom. Now, he is in his 4th year in law school and handled review subjects on his way to graduation and eventually to the bar exams. For him, studying law was not being been easy but through hard work and perseverance, he is being able to survive his law studies and a good public servant at the same time.

Our public servant thought of serving people not limitted to one barangay. He saw that he will be more effective if he would serve more people. He saw that he can serve a young legislator combining his knowledge of the law. That is why, he challenge to run for much higher position and with his luck and charisma he won a seat as a city councilor.

With his passion to public service he handled issues with an open mind. He did not see people in different color on politics. He welcomed all people and respond to all their concerns regardless of what party or district they are in. His priority is to protect the interest of Kagay-anons. He assure that all act in the legislative are much for the interest of the people. Like his slogan says, "Ian Achas sa Serbisyo dili Muatras".

After 1 year in the legislative, he was granted a committee chairmanship which is a Committee on Fisheries and Aquatic Resources. He immediately, examine all the issues on the fisheries sector. He conducted series of meetings, consultations and even he push for the approval of our LOCAL FISHERIES CODE which is the basic fundamental law for our brothers in the fisheries sector. He championed the fisheries sector and create a project to improve the livelihood facilties of the fisher folks. This is the idea he derive and lauch the ACR or the Artificial Coral Reef in barangay Puerto. Sustainable livelihood is one of his priority.

Constant changes or movement in the city council made him the 20th City Council Minority Floor Leader. It was a blessing and God given opportunity for him because he can be a fiscalizer and voice of minority block. Tackled all issues that he thinks needs to be address in the most crucial time. Stand for what he believes right and not advantageous to the people.
